  • post no electrics/no start

Left my key in the ignition to the on position for a number of hours and came back to a dead battery. jumped the kat with a car (i know it's not the best option but it's all I had) and let it idle for 5 minutes then went to travel home. After about 5 minutes of riding, I slow down for a merge and bang my bike cuts off. I have no electrics after this, tried the car-jump again and got nothing. Post 750 - does it have the circuit breaker that i've read about? white with the red button? I checked the fuses in the small compartment on the battery holder and everything looks good there, connections look good to the battery as well. It was dark and late out so I didn't check the main fuse behind the left side fairing. I'll check there in the morning but i'm more interested in knowing whether the post has the circuit breaker. Any other ideas on what to check?

don't think its a breaker , its a main fuse

follow the positive cable away from the battery its kinda under the tail fairing if I remember correctly

Pull your battery and get it on a sloooow charge

NEVER boost the bike with a running car or this happens BTW

thanks both of you...main fuse was the culprit. replaced the fuse with the spare that's provided, will be going out later to replace the spare.

If you are fuse shopping - I really reccomend the ones that light up when they have blown.

They are expensive, sure, but handy when it's dark, raining, cold, and you just want to get home as soon as you can

fuse's can break and still look good
If you have a basic multi meter , pull them and check for resistance

Gotcha, well I've check most with a meter but not all. I'm so baffled by the problem that I will try anything right now. Is it possible to get resistance and still have a bad fuse? I know how that sounds but I had to ask.
