oh c'mon now. i respect your lives. if i seen any of you on the road in need of help i would not hesitate to help you anyway i could.

but you gotta understand these bikes we ride are designed and purposely built for one thing. SPEED . (yes i know the kat is a "sport touring") but still you dont purchase a bike like this for the sole purpose of cruising around slow. their are other bikes namely harleys and dual sports that you should be riding if you dont like speed.

so please spare me the chastising........

    • Correct. I did not buy it to cruise slowly. I bought it to cruise at a moderate pace in style and comfort.

You will lose this argument. It is inevitable. Resistance is futile.

        urm this isint an argument.

i was simply responding to an insult towards me for doing nothing more than stating my personal opinion.

but thats an american thing son you wouldent understand as is evident by your distasteful communist/socialist karl marx looking avatar.

        • It is not hard to recognize Lenin.

What is it that I do not understand? You are assuming things you don't know. You are assuming I don't understand based on a simple picture. You are probably more socialist than you even know...

          • I ride a ZZR1200 in a land of wide open spaces, and speed is a fun thing in many instances, and I am guilty of going too fast, but with gear that will give me a better chance of walking away from a catastrophe. But one other reason I wear gear is because I have a strong distrust of people in vehicles with four or more wheels.

Disregard the insult...nobody's trying to shut you down here...we just take some things like our well-being and the well-being of others seriously, in many cases because we've been there and have learned and shared from our experiences. Be groovy!

Well said! this is my exact reasoning for wearing full leathers on a bike. I dont like risking my wellbeing because some careless twit or 15 year old just got her permit and is texting and driving, while hitting m bike.

all that gear gives me better oddds of less injury, which means I'll have a better chance of walking away with bruises and maybe scrapes, as opposed to sitting in an ER getting skin grafts and limbs replaced/rebuilt.
