Painted engine and it start smoking

So I painted the engine and the exhaust with engine enamel or paint from advance auto parts. After I turned on the bike the whole bike start smoking. Is it normal ?

To make a long answer short....Yes.

I have painted car engines before.
You have to heat-cycle the paint.
After a few cycles the smoking will stop, unless you used cheap paint.

I used Dupli-color engine paint. I'll just let it run till the smoke stops.

ditto on the above...i repainted some old header pipes with high heat paint...smoked for a while...but dissipated after a while. you should post some pics of the work...
