OK here we go again, I needed to balance the carbs after the initial run out as the tickover was a bit rough but after breaking out my vacuum gauge adaptors it soon became apparent they were too long as they would foul the frame on trying to install them into the carbs in situ which in itself is a mission. I bought some smaller adaptors which were to be fitted on a permanent basis with rubber end caps.

My remote fuel tank with double entry

It all started too well, these are 5mm adaptors after first removing the carbs otherwise virtually impossible to fit whilst in position.

There was the last bodge of the rebuild

Crap threads which had to be drilled out and tapped to 6mm which is just as well I bought a set of both size adaptors.

A bit tricky but managed it all the same

                Tested for a good fit

To be fitted without nitrile washer instead a dollop of thread lock and left to set before use

2 threads were okish but 2 had come straight out, cheapo helicoils so I had to drill & tap all 4 to keep it uniform

right all back together for the balance and after warming up I fitted the guages and had a small adjustment using the 3 screws in the throttle linkage.

As good as it was going to get, I think I may have to tweak the mixture as the tickover isnt as smooth as it could be

This job turned out to be a right pita although I may make up some longer hoses for the adaptors as even removing and installing the rubber end caps is awkward without at least removing the airbox.
If it aint broke polish it

Was the speedometer drive modified or any parts swapped to use the Katana gauge ?

I like where you have those are mounted. I had considered mounting some in that same exact spot on my 600cc , but I'm sitting to low since I lowered the suspension.
I must say, you have my vote for one of the best Katanas on the forum. Absolutely professional !

Thanks for the compliment, the good thing about the bikeviz lights is that choose the angle and location and only a tiny hole for the cable. If you are a little low at the front just angle them up slightly just take a few steps back to eye up the position before sticking them down

                            Bump, to the top !
Loco, are those headers built for the Kat-11 or another bike ? Very nice exhaust !
EDIT: Ok, I found my answer after searching the web. For sure built for the Katana 1100.
