    The paint job ($70) was most of the bill! If I ordered the paint and clear from colorrite it would have cost $115 with shipping. The other stuff (fiberglass cloth, resin, bondo and sandpaper) was pretty cheap, I found most of it at Walmart.

      You did a really good job. As for the rear pad, I would say leave it off... I think it looks perfect AS IS.

              Great job, I am just beginning a cowl for my Kat, I am also following the directions from Grumpy. I hope mine comes out a good.
              I see you did not use Velcro, what did you use for your attachments?
