  • front sprocket bearings?

Noticed my chain getting a quite stretched, adjusted it and spun the wheel and noticed a tight spot. With the chain adjusted properly for the most stretched part, its leaves the tightest spot pretty tight. With the weight of the bike on the chain the tightest spot has about half as much play as it should. I don't want to loosen it back up and have the more stretched part become too loose!

Will this tight spot premature wear any bearings? I'm thinking the bearings nearest the sprockets. I just want to be able to drive it until my chain and sprockets come from gsxfjim.

Its well lubed, just at the end of its life. Not worried about destroying the sprockets but would like to keep any related bearings in good shape.

I doubt you'll hurt the bearings... Time for a new chain

I went with a gold mid-grade DID chain last year and it has ha lasted very well so far.
