    What is the switch on the side of the bike?

    Has four settings. I think its for the fuel ???

    What does it need to be set as?

    That would be your petcock



    Should be on "on" res is reserve, and then there is prime

                            Just for reference, you can set your petcock to prime for about 10 seconds or so if the bike has been sitting awhile, to make it easy to start. Normally though I just leave mine in the on position since I ride alot. After the winter months though for example where its been sitting for months, definately use the prime option.

                            I can't believe Junior hasn't chimed in on his petcock yet
