Looking at some gear & came across two terms. I am not sure if they're the same or two totally different things:

"CE based removable armor" and "Removable Foam based CE armor"

Does one offer more protection than the other. I am thinking one is a hard plastic & one is just a thick foam. I can't see if my logic is correct how foam would support especially the back.

    Let me know.

The standard you're looking at - "CE" is a safety standard used in Europe (Conformitee Europeenne). The US has not developed a standard for safety that I know of... Without seeing what you're talking about, I think they are basically the same thing - in that they meet or exceed the Euro safety standard.

CE is a safety standard. Not sure if there's an equivalent over there but whatever the composition or position of the armour, if it's CE marked then at minimum it conforms to the safety standard.
