Its not cold walking around. Its cold going 70-80 on the freeway for 30 minutes.

At 42 the other night after about 15 miles going 70 I realized I couldn't feel my thighs and they were shivering uncontrollably so I pulled off to rest. I was just wearing jeans that have some kevlar lining and built in knee pads.

And because of the wild party I was going to, I didn't have a shirt on under my jacket.

I have silk-weights that work well. I normally wear just jeans down to about 25*, then I start into the silk-weights and overpants. I ride year round and it only snows one day a year, if at all, in VA Beach.

I am pretty comfortable in my Carbon38 workout leggings. They’re awesome! I bought them for my gym actually but then I decided I was too much of a slob to go there, so these are my favorite winter ware for now.

Gnode, I bet you are familiar with the Walls line of coveralls and bib overalls that come out of Sweetwater, Tx. I had a pair of each and would wear either depending on the day and the trip. They unzip to cover your boots. And they even come in black. I spent many West Texas winters vowing to ride the 7+7 miles every morning early from Wink to Kermit to teach school, and then ride the 70+70 miles from supper time until midnight playing guitar gigs in Midland. The Walls never let me get cold. Wal-mart stocks them

I have to commute to work and it has been 18-23 degrees, and most of my ride is along a lake. what i use to keep warm is a pair of flannel pajama pants under my work slacks. then a pair of pvc lined rain pants over those. The rain pants i got from Jafrum for 10$ love them!

I live in Canada. You guys really shouldn't complain about "cooler temperatures". Lol.
