  • Pair of Shoes

Years ago my old friend said "always leave a shoe store with a comfortable fit because it's what carries you through life".
    Well, the same applies to my 750 Katanas, a '96 & '97.
Both fit well, and both are comfortable; and having ridden for 35 yrs anything from H-D's to ZRX 1200, Ninjas, Shadows, Viragos ....... I'm sure you get the picture.
I've always preferred the look of the older style model, ending with the '97.
Regarding durability I once bought a '93 off Ebay, flew from California to Baltimore, MD and rode it back via the backroads. The bike had been in a flood, however after firing it up, drying it out, and hitting the road it didn't miss a lick and I averaged around 50 mpg.
Another point of interest has been the rear sprocket; my '93 had a 42T mounted, the '96 has a 47T, and the '97 has 49T. It appears the original one was always 49T, I'm not exactly sure.
With my good friend being a skilled m'cycle mechanic I'm able to keep both bikes 'fine-tuned', and I've always kept them in original,"stock" condition.
Next post I'll try to download a picture.
Be happy to connect with other riders, and of course I highly recommend this part of the country for some excellent sport-touring.
