  • A different style of heated grip

    Has anybody used these before?

The advantages over regular heated grips that I can see would be:

    longer lasting [probably]

    easier/cleaner power wire instalation

    your choice of handgrips

    Disadvantages:

Longer heat-up time [ ? ] bc it has to heat the bar b4 the grip

not as hot [ ? ] see above

    What do you guys think?

I think he's selling a $29.99 heated grip kit for $43 and advising people to install them incorrectly in a lame attempt to claim a unique product. Save your money, order the kit from Dual Star, and stick them to the outside of the bars like your supposed to.

I see no advantage to putting them inside the bars. The wires won't be any easier to install (especially on a bike with clip-ons), you can use whatever grips you like with them on the outside, and you'll get more heat with them installed as they should be.

    Just my $0.02.
I like you. When the world is mine your death will be quick and painless.

I agree with Wingspan, they look just like the $20 (CDN) kimpex kit I installed on the outside of the bar where the instructions say to put it.

I see. I had not seen a heater kit that was not part of the grip itself, looked new to me

I like the idea of the Kimplex, or Dual Star, kits you are talking about I am going to check into that. thanks
