  • 16t front with a 44t rear on a pre600, chain length?

    hey guys the bike i just picked up has a 16t front and a 44t rear. what size chain do i need and what will those sprockets make the gearing like ?

      You're effectively going down about four teeth in the back. Less acceleration, higher top speed.

      Don't you have to grind the sprocket cover to get a 16t to fit?

        well its a bike that i just picked up in its current state, missing a few bits etc. the sprocket cover isnt on atm but maybe ill have to grind it . so has anybody run this gearing (sprockets) ?
