how to bypass clutch safety switch...

So I have a 93 kat 600 and was wondering how to go about bypassing the clutch safety switch. Is it just as easy as cutting the wires and twisting them together or is there a more detailed process to get this done? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I used a blade type fuse

Thanks guys, do I need to cut the wire on the ecm also? Ive been reading around n some guys say u need to while others say u dont.

-- Remove the gas tank.
-- Follow the wires from the clutch switch to where they connect to the main wiring harness.
-- Unplug the connectors and connect the ones from the main harness to each other.
-- Reinstall the tank.
-- Unscrew clutch switch from the lever perch and fling towards nearest trash can.

I did all that minus trashing the clutch switch
