Will a PRE-98 600's front sprocket cover fit my 750?

I ask because I broke the little piece that holds the clutch cable on the "clutch release"...I'll be waiting about 6-10 days if I order now:.

I did find a sprocket cover from a 600 that has that still on it

I searched here for one and saw posts of people looking for a cover for a 750 and said "any kat w/ a cable clutch will do?!
