  • Newbie: Good Morning/Afternoon/Evening :D

    Hiya

I'm new to the forum after seeing it for a while. Hoping the decent lads on here will be able to help me with a few sourcing issues i seem to be having.

I never really enjoyed riding my GSX600F 1995 last year and then chose to take I off the road. After getting the ridin bug again I've decided that she deserves some TLC. A lot if it.

So the fairings will be repaired and painted..Wheels re painted. New brakes, pad, discs and calliper strip. Aswell as replacing the rear shock with a hayabusa shock as I'm a heavy lad this should handle me fine.. Give the electrics a good once over to test and make sure all the connects havnt perished.

I will also be replacing the entire exhaust as my bike is missing the proper lower fairing as it has been badly modified for the current down pipes.

So as you can see I've got alot to do and hopefully it'll be worth it as I'm planning on going to Spain on her next year

                  Morning

I think it's down to it being me first big bike and the weight takes abit of getting used to but I think the other big reason is that my rear shock is completely buggered.. Extremely bouncy and uncomfortable .

I've ordered n Hayabusa shock so that will be fitted shortly.
I'll try to take photos of the fitting if anyone wants to know what's done, I'm aware I have to move the battery holder and cut the under seat plastics but I'm sure that'll be fine.

Unfort the to-do list has increased as the connector pipe of the downpipes is rubbing the oil pan a lot so I've also ordered a post 98 pan to fit.

Cheers I'm not too find of the exhaust which the previous owner installed so I'm changing back to a typical oval style can.

That angle doesn't do her justice as that's the side I dropped her on.

Tank and fairings are in the list for TLC and touch up paint.

Does anyone have a centre piece from the lower fairings I could buy off them as mines missing?

Would just be nice to try and get hold of one.. I know if have modify it for the exhaust.

How do the bottom pieces of fairing hold together? Because mine were held in piece using two thick pieces of rubber which allow a massive gap between each fairing? Is this normal or are they supposed to come together at the centre?
