I have the factory manual here and it looks like i can cheat and pull dust seals and retaining clip out. Can i use a pick and pull seal out with out seperating tubes? Or do I have to pull that damper thingamabob out?
    Wallowing Kat that needs help,,,,lol

You would be best off pulling the forks apart rather than run the risk of scratching the tubes. Its not that hard to do

so how exactly are the tubes seperated? As I have not yet done this I do not know the tools other than tool part numbers listed in manual. That being said can someone who has done this go though the steps to do this. I want to do this but i dont want to get halfway through and find out I need something I cant find or cant get.

      Thank you in advance.

Its been about 7 years since I did mine but I do remember you need a allen socket and impact gun to remove the damping rod. Or you can do what I did and cut an old allen wrench just below the bend and slip it into a socket. Sorry I cant be more help
