Default Warm leggings for the winter?

I have some special jeans with kevlar and knee pads that I wear currently. The temperature in north texas is dipping down into the 50s and 40s now and I find my legs getting super cold.

Is there anything you would recommend I can wear under these jeans to keep my legs warm?

A pair or two of long johns should help with insulation.
And something to break the wind, like windbreaker pants.
In the cold I find myself wearing longjohns under my leathers, if it's a short ride I'll just use longjohns/jeans and that ussually does the trick

When temps dip into the teens, I will wear long johns in addition to overpants - I wear FirstGear HT II's and I stay comfortable in those temps on the super slab.

In the 40s I'm pretty comfortable with with just thermo pants, and a jeans. Maybe even in the 30s

i just bought a set of base gear top and bottom. said for below 50*. hasn't been cold enough here for a test run yet. have three layers: fleece, vapor barrier, and then a windproof layer. mine are First Gear from http://www.compacc.com/. there are other brands as well.

Hey, give the guy a break, he's from Texas where anything below 70 is cold and it's not hot until it's over 100!

Try these:

Everyone from the midwest like me probably started laughing hearing that 50s and 40s are really cold. Sounds like a good day to me lol. But seriously, also look into wearing some long johns under your pants, really help keep you warm
