  • shift lever interchangeable?

    Hi,

Does anyone know if the shift lever and linkage in 1989 is interchangeable between the 750 and 1100? Are they the same size or different parts?

    Thanks,
    Mike

      Thanks!

Great resource and found what I needed. They're not interchangeable in case anyone else is wondering. Thanks Steve!

Already PM'd 89Kat but I figured I'd throw this out there:

The shift lever is unique to the 1100 Kat but the shaft isn't. That part is used on all kinds of Suzukis. What that means in this case is that the lever from any one of those bikes will fit on that shaft. The differences in the levers would be length, curve and the direction the bolt goes. Provided the lever is close in length and curve, you can pick just about any stock or aftermarket lever you like off ebay and use it.
