Hi, I just bought a katana 750 today with 21,000 miles. Drove it 60 miles home.
The owner said he put it in storage last year but didn't winterize it, and just got it out today. It runs kinda rough at lower Rpms and doesn't seem to have a lot of power occasionaly and have to keep the revs up or it will kill. Out on the highway it seems to run fine except it backfired a couple of times and doesn't get very good gas mileage about 35-37mpg. He said he doesn't know if the valves were adjusted.
I was going to put new plugs in oil change and take the tank off and clean it because there was some thin film down on the bottom inside.
Would seafoam help clean up the carbs if they were gummed up?
What type of oil would you recommend for it?
thanks
any other input would be appreciated
