okay First tings first. the pre 98 dog bones have bearings in them so they are 29mm, while the 98+ dog bones have the bearing in the swing arm. The pre dog bones are 29mm the post's are 6mm. Now when using post dog bones on a pre you lose the bearing, but for the amount of turning that bearing actually does, you don't need it.
The thing you need to do is take that spacer from the pre 98 dog bones (#16) and cut it in half with a hand held cut off wheel in a dremel or die grinder. I put the spacer in a vice with half in and half out and used the vice as a guide. once the spacer is cut in half, I used a bench grinder to grind each spacer to 11.5mm. with 11.5mm + 6mm + 11.5mm you have 29mm. Once you have the proper spacing made use the pre 98 bolt and nut (#'s 17 and 18) the pre 98 spacer is the same ID as those, since those bolts are meant to go through them.
