  • 89+: 1 or 2 fuse boxes ?

So my '88 is slightly different than newer models. Can some one tell me for certain if the 89+ models have 1 or 2 fuse boxes ? It appears that the newer models have a secondary, 4 fuse panel in addition to the larger one. If in fact it does have a second fuse box, will some one snap a pic of it on their bike ? I'd like to add a 2nd box to mine if I can.
    Thanks for any help !

      No only one 88 is a 5 fuse, 89 is a 4 fuse.

I think it depends on the edition / letter model. For instance, mine is a "J" model and the K/L/M/N/P models appear to have the smaller 4 fuse box.
Side note, I'll just point this out just for the heck of it...I've noticed not all parts fiche are created equal. This is the 2nd time I've encountered this sort of issue with the Kat1100. The fist time was trying to order parts for my center stand. Some fiche say its available and some say discontinued. In this case, the wiring diagram above in my 1st post shows 89+ models have the smaller box, but the fiche confuses things by showing it as a '88 piece.

Now, if I could only find the pig tail connector cut off of a old harness.
You know, I think some one could make a few buck$ if they were to offer replacement connectors.
