  • Chain & Sprocket Kit for '95 600

There doesn't seem to be a whole lot of options out there. From the wonderful 'search' feature here and some phone calls and other research, I've determined that a 1995 Katana 600 comes with a 14/45 sprocket set with a 112 link, 530 width chain.

I have found a 14/46 chain and sprocket set.

I don't know if one tooth is going to make much of a differnence. I was looking for a 2-3 tooth increase in the back while keeping the front at the stock 14. Is this not a good idea (which would be why it is not offered in that set up)???

Kidd, You will have to replace each part seperately. Most kits come with the stock gearing. You can go to http://www.sprocketspecialists.com to get your sprockets. The chain you will just have to find one. I would contact LETSRIDE from here. He can get you what you need and a good price.

OK - good to know. Still not sure if I'm going to go up but at least I have that option.

As a follow up, anyone know where I can get a good deal on a chain remover/rivet installer tool?

I just bought 2 new sprockets myself. I went down one on the front and up 2 on the back. This will be for the V&H bike. I kinda think I might not like that combination though.....as in the bike is likely to flip over backwards.
stock was 15-52. I now have a 13, 14 and 15 front, and a 50, 52, 54 rear. I will have to mix and match to find what I like. Kind of sucks for choosiing a chain though.
I am going to have to buy a small roll of cheap chain to start so I can have different lenghts to try until I find the ratio I like.

but to answer your question look at some of the auctions on ebay. some of the "kits" allow you to choose what size sprocket you want at the end of the auction.
I don't have a short temper. I just have a quick reaction to bullshit.
