I've got a line on a good deal for an '02 750 engine, is the power difference noticeable enough to swap it into my '06 600 or should i hold out for something better to come along?

The difference between pre 750's and 98+ 750's is MINIMAL. And that is negated by the fact that most of the pre 750's will be ALOT older and have more miles.

But your post makes it sound to a new member that it won't work. That's why I posted saying it will, but have a different rev limit.

You will need the 750 carbs.

No problem. Im not really a newb, just haven't needed to post until now. I've got a TON of car experience but am just getting into working on bikes. I've read through the engine swap thread also.
I ended up just getting an awesome deal on a 88' kat 750 engine. I bought it since it was cheaper and also supposedly has 106hp stock. Will CDI and carbs still be the only thing i need for this swap?
