82 Kat centerstand

I'm installing a centerstand, as the bike came with none. Does anyone know what the stop is? I see a rubber stop in the parts diagram, but what does it install on?? I'm hoping it's not the orig. exhaust cause i don't have one.

It lands on the original exhaust. If you have a V&H pipe, & it will let you keep the centerstand with it, it would have come with a bracket for the stop. Ray.
