  • parking ?

At work I have to park on a hill so I always leave it in 1st gear while at work so that the bike will noy role back. Is this a no no or is it ok. I have been doing it for a while and was wondering if I may be hurting anything?

Park in 1st or 2nd facing uphill. That's exactly what you should do

The centerstand works on hills too... Just harder to get off it afterwards if the slope is really steep

Yep, I always park the bike in gear no matter what type of road surface or incline Im parked on. You're doing the right thing.

Turn her around and park her in gear.

If its a slant, back it up against the curb as well.

Yup, motorcycle safety course made us do that over and over and over again! Always in gear! 1st or 2nd as the best options.

It doesn't feel right to leave it parked out of gear.

Where I park at my apt is on a slope, its always facing uphill and in 1st.
