i just recently got my 95 kat and was wondering why cant i just put on any exhaust (slip on/bolt on). in theory, couldnt i just get a can, chop off the stocker, drill a hole in the pipes and rivet the cans on the pipe?

I think welding the can to the pipe would be better....or....you could pick up a 98+ header which will allow you to use a slip on. From what I've read, you will either have to use a 98+ oil pan or dent the collector to make it fit."The Lord will be awesome to them, for He will reduce to nothing all the gods of the earth; people shall worship Him, each one from his place, indeed all the shores of the nations." - Zeph. 2:11

Not too much of a dent, but swapping out the oil pan gives more clearnace, and will allow for better alternatives for a custome eshaust... It's not overly expensive.
