As far as me personally? After I bought my Katana, I was ripping across the I-10 Twin Span doing about 140 when I had a HUGE tank slapper. I have no idea to this day why I did not come off that bike, but I managed to hold on and ride it out. I had shorts, running shoes, helmet, and a blue jean jacket on when this happened. Had I come off I would have been skinned alive.

I decided the next day that if I wanted to keep riding, I would ALWAYS wear riding gear. To this day, I wear a minimum of helmet, gloves, riding jacket, riding boots, and at least jeans. ALWAYS. I don't want to be a burden on someone for the rest of my life.

Honestly? I think you are a retard if you don't wear gear, but I seriously don't care what you do.
