  • Which Battery Charger?

I'm looking at buying myself a battery charger and would like to know which one is the better of these two.

The Optimate III SP or the AccuMate 612?

    Thanks

I started this thread a few weeks ago, it might help:

    KatRiders.com conversations about Suzuki Katanas
and the days spent riding them. Includes Vintage Kats, Street Fighters, 1100 Kats Only, and Long Term Projects.

I ended up picking up the waterproof 800 last week. Good deal and free shipping on Amazon.

I can't tell you anything about the two you mentioned.

In the UK -- OptiMate, esp. if you have an older bikes with maintenance-type batteries (or might in the future).
That said, I prefer the Deltran BatteryTender Waterproof 800 for the 98+ Kats -- literally drop-it-in-a-bucket-of-water waterproof (leave it outside charging away in a hurricane and don't worry about it), perfect charge rate for the 98+ stock battery, pretty much fool-proof. But the OptiMate is the better in-the-garage charger
