Wish I knew about this last year, thx.

Not exactly easy for a 5'5" 140lb guy to pick up a 500+lb Kat.
But I'm hoping I'll never have to do that again.

When my dad first got his bike we went to the store and he locked the stearing. When we got back on he forgot it was locked and the bike went down. I just jumped off but my dad went sliding across the parkinglot. I just picked up the bike because my dad was yelling and it wasn't that heard. He has a honda shadow spirit.

this may be a retarded question...but, would it be safe to gently lay the bike down on its side and practice this? i think it would be better to do that than to crash in front of everybody and struggle for 5 mins trying to get the bike upright

Kinda hard to "gently" lay the bike down . Once it gets to a certain point , it gets REALLY freakin heavy . Maybe if you take off the mirrors and put a matress under it .....

Or use grass... lots of lush green grass and soft mud.

For average folks, a 750Kat can be very heavy; this is very useful info. Good thing she's picking up a BM and not a Kat. It's so sad to see a KAT down
