  • ever gotten something so cheap it feels like you stole it

    for starters let me explain.
i went to a stealership yesterday with the whole family in the cage, and seen an 06 black 750 kat on the floor with a corbin seat. and in my thinking i asked if it was possible to trade my stack for the corbin. as things went on with the sales man and later went to the manager. but the outcome was an even deal of my stock plus $100 for the corbin.
from there i raced home and got on the bike and headed back as fast as i could. thinking all the way that this cant be real.
i walked in with my seat in hand and 100 bucks in the other. and what do you know on my way home i was seating in a differ saddle
    YEAHHHHHH.
as i spoke with the manager he said any thing to help a customer.
    what do yall think?

Not a BAD deal . You didn't exactly STEAL it , though . I mean , a stock seat in good shape is worth something , too ..... A while back I traded my stock seat for a Corbin and like $50 .

They see it as making $100 that day.

As long as a business makes a profit, they will make a sale.

True. $100 now was better than nothing. They probably figured that it would take them months to sell the bike and they have bills to pay now. Plus, they're not going to knock anything off the asking price of the bike just because it has a stock seat instead of a Corbin. Prospective customer wouldn't know about that.

Good deal for the both of youz!

I'm a Corbin dealer, and I think you got a massively great deal!
Typically, that's a $330 seat, and the OEM 98+ Kat seat often goes for $20 - $40 on eBay in mint condition, so there's your figures...

                PS - condition that leather

                Cheers,

Sounds like you got a good deal and they now have a very happy customer.

I think that both parties benefited from this transaction

not the same, but i scored a pair of SIDI Champion Air boots about a week ago for $35 shipped.

Guy bought them, tried them on, walked outside to his bike, rode about 10 mins, came home, took them off cuz he didn't like them.

Couldn't take them back, cuz he clearly wore them.

Sat in a box for 8 months, sold them to me.

                            fit perfectly

                            clearly new:

I went to a flea market and bought a vance & Hines hayabusa muffler in great shape for 10.00. The person told me "he took it off a lawn mower". Retail was 475 at the time.
