Default speedo question

Hi everyone, I have a question about the speedo on my 1990 1100. It's off, when I have the bike going 80km/h I'm only going 70 and it gets worse when I increase speed to the point of 200km/h being only 175 confirmed on gps.
Is this the norm for these bikes or do I need a new speedo cable or something? Bike is stock tire size and all, any ideas? Thanks.

Yup, all of them are off. Change the sprockets and or tire size and it gets worse or better depending on which way you go.

And unlike some other bikes, it can't be fixed by programming the speed sensor, but I bought a digital gauge cluster, hooked it up to the original sensor and was able to adjust it through the interface on the gauge.
