Can anybody tell me how much backlash is normal in the gearbox? With the clutch removed I can turn the input shaft by about 60 degrees before the engine sprocket turns. Measured at the circumference of the rear wheel it is about 10 cm (4 in.) in 5th gear or about 5 cm (2 in.) in 1st gear.
