worth it?

whats up guys
I was driving with a buddy of mine lastnight, when I past the food Lion on my right, I saw a bike in the parking lot for sale. I turned into the parking lot, and as soon as I got a good look at it, I saw it was a kat! It was burgundy, and I could see that it had been laid down on the left side. Not to bad though, some light scratches on the lower fairing, and thats pretty much it. Its a 97 with 8300 miles on it. The guy wants 3700 for it, is that too much? Ive seen kats in magazines for 3500 and below and they are 01 and up, with around 12000 miles. Thanks in advance.

I think he is asking too much. I would say fair price would be 2k or less.

I'd ask what kind of dope he's smoking for asking that much, then offer him about half that,and then ask him maintance questions, as to drop a hint to him that its gonna cost you some extra $$$ to get it serviced.

i thinks thats high for 97. he must be dreaming $2000 or less depending on condition and that might be high. I just bought my 03 600 with 7k for $3300 I think that was a little high but i wanted a katana.

3700.00 is way too much....now granted he could have put alot into the engine and the bike itself that only he could tell you..but if its basically stock, that's pretty high.

I'd definately contact him though and find out the story on the bike.
