anyone ever ridden an 05 Triumph Daytona 650?

i found one for sale for around 3 grand, but the guy is looking for a sport touring bike and might be interested in a trade, i have an 05 kat 750. i'm thinking about maybe going for it but looking for feedback on the triumph. i've looked on the web, and some people say they are great bikes, and other say to stay away from those bikes.

so i was just wondering if anyone on KR might have ridden/owned one.

If he's willing to trade and there's nothing substantially wrong with the Daytona, I personally would take the trade...if for nothing else, the looks. The ergos are more sportsbike like than the Kat, obviously, so you would have to decide if you can handle that posture.

Never ridden one but I've sat on one. It didn't feel too uncomfortable and i,m sure it handles great. The one i saw was yellow and looked awesome. However if you are planning to rack up the miles i would stick with the Katana. More comfort and trouble free. I guess it depends on what you want the bike for. It's a good problem to have
