Unfortunately, to me it looks like it's about right for where the rear tire is. But it's also stretched, which to me means it's not right. Looking at the shapes on the sides, I'm not sure it could be made to work without stretching. Maybe other years are slightly different.
But, that is just my opinion. I don't like the idea of doing a stretch, cause I like handling better than looks. That said, it looks like that was done fairly well. If you do it, don't skimp.

I understand that the Busa has been successful in the consumer market but in all honesty, its a big, ugly eye sore to me. Horribly over rated (still fast as shit tho) but it seems like after all these years, they would at least make it look a little different.My build thread (Black Betty) '97 600 (Dearly Departed)

I'm not sure you could get it to look good on a Katana, but as far as the Busa' goes. That is for sure my next new to me bike. Plenty of them hitting the used market down here in not so sunny FL. Only problem is two thirds of what I find are stretched, lowered, chromed out, turbo'd, nitros'd, etc. I just want a nice broken in stocker.
