2006 Honda VFR with Gutted exhaust

Well as some of you know, I have been working on tracking down a decent sounding exhaust for my VFR, the slock pipes are just too quite for my tastes.

So I did some searching and come across some gutted factory pipes from a 2007 and picked them up for $60 and I had to drive about 80 miles to get them.

I finished the installation today, and MAN OH MAN!!! BAD A$$ is the only words I can describe it with. I love the sound. In person it sounds alot like a small block v8 with flow masters, except it revs wayyyy quicker...

Any way here is a quick vid....turn them speakers up kids!!!!

I felt the same about the exhaust on the 5th Gen... aside from it being a HUGE pig of a can, it was waaaay too quiet for my tastes. A friend donated an old 2BR can and I couldn't be happier with the results.

No any one with a welder can do it. On the VFR if you cut the pipe in half just behind the factory weld all of the packing and baffles will slide out...then weld it back together....
But I suppose you could take them to a shop and have it done.
