So I spoke to some nurses in Toronto on Tony's behalf. They can send a nurse out to his house for $20 an hour to help him out. I just gave them Tony's contact info so that they can arrange times for daily visits etc. Since the price was right Tony thinks these nurses are a good idea.
Steve, you called this one!

Nurses dispatched.
Called the head nurse earlier this afternoon just to confirm that they got a hold of Tony. A nurse will be stopping by his place on a daily basis, starting tomorrow morning. It sounds like this nurse is mechanically inclined: they mentioned servicing his crank, providing lubricant and polishing the head.
Wait a minute? Maybe they weren't talking about the bike!
All humor aside the nurse actually has been dispatched, so Tony's in good hands.

Tony,
Sorry to hear about the bike, but I'm glad you're (relatively) ok! The 401 is definitely not the most bike friendly highway, and I'm relieved to hear that your injuries weren't worse!
Hope you heal up quickly, and are able to get out with us again this season! Are you sure the Kat's a write-off?
