any other reason to drill the brass plugs on the carbs?

hey i took a peek under my carbs and to my suprise the brass plugs seem to be gone and there are 4 flat head standard screws...are there any other reasons than someone jetting this bike to remove those plugs?

seems like they need adjusted again haha
i took the needles out of the carbs and they dont look like stock or the aftermarket ones i saw..idk
its best if i leave it alone bc i usually break stuff lol

You could always drill them out of sheer boredom.
