there are 2 vance and hines full systems for the 600 the SS2-R which you are talking about which is chrome and nickel and the supersport which has black headers they are both on bike bandit the supersport is the second one listed if you look gsx katana 88-97 is listed twice the first is the SS2-R and the second is the supersport. Specialk has both the supersport for $325 and SS2-R for $425

someone here used a 98+ exhaust system and i think it fit right in or he did very little modification to make it fit. it looked sick! not sure if its an exact bolt on, but it gives you more options on a exhaust system

yeah specialk has done that. I asked him about it he said that there is a different diameter. Something about bending a custom mid pipe to make it mount up correctly. So it is not an exact bolt on but sounds like a few fairly easy mods will make it work. I'm leaning toward the SS2-R system now that I've been kicking it around in my head for a bit. I might as well pay the extra $100 for a noticably better system.

That is what I am thinking about also. Did Keith tell you if he can get the SS2-R for you?

yeah he can get it. It's a few bucks less than bike bandit, but I'd buy it from him even if it was more.
