    z06 walks gixxer 1000

    ok guys... i know this is soooo unsafe... so no flaming, but i just had to post it..

    this is my boys Z06 (dyno'd at a lil over 600 rwhp) walking all over a gixxer 1000

      well... a few big differences...

      1. its a mustang, and a vette... much different gearing, suspension, and yes, weight...

      2. the mustang is boosted... takes a while for those turbos to spooled.... the vetted is NA, so its muscle ALL the time

      3. the vette is also running a 125 shot of nos, so it's actually pushing over 700 with the spray

        Pretty sure the Mustang in the first vid is S/C not turbo.

        With 700hp on tap, the ZO6 definitely should walk pretty much any bike after about 140mph or so. Top speed is a cars game....... bikes take the cake in acceleration, though. From 0-120, I'd bet the Gix strolls away from the Vette.

          really dude... you think a s/c stang is running 21 psi??? that seems pretty high for any s/c car (unless it is a true, tubbed dragster)

              Yeah, I'm pretty sure since it says Kenne Bell 2.1 (which happens to be their popular street supercharger setup)...

              Edit- It says 2.6, not 2.1..... 2.6 is the big monster S/C.

                damn bro... thats insane for a s/c!!! most of the ones i've seen have ran 12-15 psi

                  On my R1 I pretty much owned this guy in his Zo6 from a light to about 80 where I shifted to second and rolled off... Like was said before after about 140 I'm sure I'd eventually be caught... But on the streets, forget about it... Won't even try... Too squidly...

                      I don't see the Vette pulling on the bike at all until the bike lets off the throttle. Seems to me the bike is ahead all the way until then.

                        Ditto. Definitely wouldn't call it getting "walked"

                        The bike was ahead until he gets out of the throttle...don't understand why anyone thinks the vette won?
                        90% of motorcycle forum members do not have a service manual for their bike.

                            Gotta agree. I see neither the vette walking anything NOR winning the race till the bike lets off. Only after you see the MPH drop on the bike do you see the car come shooting past. Now the bike was close to topping out where as I am sure the vette had another 40MPH to gain so it woudl eventually take it but I was a bit disappointed. That was even a roll on race and the vette still lost....
