i am sort of new to motorcycles but what motor is this is this the 600? cuz this is whats on my bike and i was under the knowledge this was a normal 600. i have an 89 kat

That looks to be a 1988 Katana 600 engine. Right at the bottom of the cylinder block, it says the displacement, but I can't make it out in the picture. The 88 600 is the only one I know of that had a smooth valve cover instead of a finned one.Any and all statements by Loudnlow7484 are merely his own opinions, and not necessarily the opinion of Katriders.com.
