I like the black too. I was going back and forth on the color thing. Now I've made up my mind to go with the silver because I'm painting my bike black. I was thinking white paint with black mesh but the appeal of the dark side won me over. You can find the mesh on ebay for the low, low.
Stupid newbie question here. What function does the mesh achieve other than looking cool? Personally i think it looks great! Something I will probably do in the future.

Is there a difference between the mesh off ebay, and the mesh from, say Home Depot? I was planning on doing the mesh mod next week and was just going to go get it since its around the corner.
The pattern might be different, the cost (cheaper at hardware store) and IMHO the mesh from the hardware store is better. I think that since it is made to be on your gutters all year around the quality is better (but how that matters is up to you)
