has anyone put in a digital speedometer?

I'm sure they have. As far as finding one for a pre that fits in the pod, I haven't found one yet. Most replace the entire pod assembly.

The pod (gauges are all electronic) pre bikes use a cable for the speedo. Post has a speed sensor at the drive sprocket.

so if it is already electronic shouldn't it just be a simple replacement?

Nope...unless the digital can use the same sensor and is calibrated to do so. Most do not use that type Suzuki sensor. They have a magnetic sensor that mounts on the forks.

That's a question for the manufacturer of the digital speedo. How are we supposed to know?

..... I can't find one big enough for the pre pod. I may have to carbon fiber a new pod, just for digital gauges....
