use the 1100 carbs, and the 1100 CDI, splice the harness to make the 1100 CDI work. It's not rocket surgery.

      hm, that's new. lol

That must be when the NASA scientist decides he wants to be a brain surgeon, or when the brain surgeon decides he wants to be a rocket scientist?

Don't know about you guys but if my TPS fails, the bike wont start. The CPU senses it and gives me an FI light and disables the start circuits. I did however, think that TPS is available only on FI bikes and not carb'd ones.

Yea, on FI bikes, ya'll have all these fancy sensors and computers and stuff that talk to each other, and if one ain't talkin then ur bike ain't startin

Nah that's an oldie.. Around here they will say:
"It's not Rocket Surgery for crying outside.."

About the TPS, looks to me like the diagram Steve posted can be used to decipher the CDI change over..

The point I was trying to make, is that the CPU is likely expecting TPS input, and without it the bike will likely run like crap.

but also remeber when swapping carbs you need the intake boots for the correct size
