  • fuel adjusting screws

Okay so I need to remove those darn brass plugs from the fuel adjusting screws. My question is what size drill bit and size/type metal screw does every one use. I figured it's probably at my discretion what size to use but I just thought I'd ask!

    Thanks for the input!

those little caps can be drilled and pulled out I believe

but if i remember right..when I drilled mine out last yr when I was working
on the carbs I used a 1/8 drill bit...but for some reason not sure if the caps
after drilled poped out with a 3/32 wide screwdriver head
    to pry it off.
been awhile...Just dont force it when drilling into those caps....go
easy and try not to damage the screwhead for the adjustment
    under that cap

Pretty sure I used a 1/8th bit, and just a wood screw to pop out the plugs. One actually came out with the drill bit.

yeah half the time they do come out with the bit, just drill a small hole, then screw in a self tapper and yank it out
