Check this out....... Been trying to figure out how to support the frame for paint prep and spraying. Well, last year I made one of these:
I got to looking at it and figured I could slide the upper pipe right through the frame and just hang it! Worked excellent!

That, ladies, is the original MEANSTRK. My 1970 Camaro. My forum handle was taken from my personalized plate.
Unfortunately, I have barely touched that car in about 7 years and it needs some TLC. She will crank up and run, but the tranny seals are shot and she has pissed out many of her vital fluids. She falls in the same category as the Katana (The 91 katana that is) and will never be sold.Ron

Currently, the frame is painted and yesterday I started putting a couple things back together. I did not take any pics, but it's comming along. I am kind of being held up a little waiting for some parts, but I am also doing other things while waiting. Took the guages off the fairing stay and prepped and painted the fairing stay. This will be the plan for the next few days. I have a whole plethora of things that just need to be prepped and painted in anticipation of reassembly.
Parts on the way?
Entire ignition, gas cap, and seat lock set.
Rear shock from a 750. Also have a Bandit shock ready should I decide to use that instead.
Forks.
Upper triple clamp/clip on's.
Carbs.
The good news really is that nothing is missing with the exception of that tag light cover. I may already have it sold once I get it back together and may not even have to paint the plastics due to this guy wanting it as a first bike and sees no sense in painting it when it may get dropped. Sure, I'll get $500 less that way, but will save $250 in paint along with the time saved.Ron
