Thanks for the positive comments. It was fun and frustrating at the same time but I am happy with it. Might want to add an auto dimmer as the LEDs are pretty bright at night.

Nice work. I've bookmarked this as something to come back to during the non-riding season. Does anyone have an idea if the pickup on the Pre is close enough in design to that on the Post to perform this mod?

The gear position switch Suzuki #37720-24A01 is what I purchased to replace the original on my post. The puck measures 35mm dia and the mounting holes are on 50mm centers. If you remove your original and measure then you will know. My guess is that it will fit. The part # above is listed for a 1984 GS1150ES so Suzuki would appear to keep some parts dimensionally the same.
