we're pulling apart the carbs in my 89 600
the float pin is really not wanting to come out, the manual says "remove float pin" no help there
is it not supposed to be removed?
do we need a bigger hammer?
    thanks

Well , you don't HAVE to remove that pin to clean the carbs out anyway . But it DOES come out . Does the float still move ? If it's not sticking , I'd probably leave it be and just work around it . But if you get obsessive .... maybe a little nail pushing the end of the pin .

you just have to remove the little wire retainer that holds the pin to the little metal tang that you use to adjust float height and then you snap the hinge of the two plastic pieces and it will give you just enough room to remove the pin also if you meed to replace just the needleportion you can savesome money by not having to buy whole float assembly and you can pick that up for like $10 each at oldbikebarn.com
