  • Exhaust gaskets...need help..

I have an aftermarket 4-1 on my 89 Kat 600...I pulled the exhaust off and had it Jet coated...and want to replace the gaskets...can I purchase the stock gaskets or does this aftermarket exhaust need special ones...I believe it is a Yoshi because that's the can on the end...

I have the same pipe on my 91 750. If you are talking about the ones at the block, stock gaskets are fine...

I have two stock gaskets if you want them. Suzuki part # 14181-18C00 is that right?

You should be able to reuse them if they don't look too bad.

              Stock gaskets.

I sell a shift indent spring kit ($38.50) that replaces the shifter spring with a stiffer one for better shifting results; the kit includes all four exhaust gaskets and an oil pan gasket. If you are going to buy the exhaust gaskets anyway, this is a cheap way to upgrade at the same time.

PS - my experiences taught me that the mid-pipe collector gasket is actually the one that tends to go bad; the header gaskets at the engine rarely do.

              Cheers,
