Another newbie (to sport bikes)

Hello everyone,great site. I have always joined a forum for every toy that I have.Great source of info without a doubt.
I have been on Harley for the last 25 yrs or so,but have secretly liked the way a sport bike looks and espeacially sounds so I cut my hair,shaved my beard,and bought a 2006 Katana 600 w/1700 miles,black to boot!
I guess Im not a true turn coat as I have always had Japenese dual sport bike anyway( back to a Yamaha DT),I probly wont be able to give advise but I know that I will be visiting the site often.

I just bought a Drz400e. Had an 05 750.
Biggest difference in the Kat, is now you have 4 carbs to play with for better or worse so keep the gas fresh.
You'll like revving the kat, they don't mind spinning at 7,000-11,000.
